DNA organization in the cell is a grand challenge that encompasses many areas of biology, chemistry, physics and medicine. It determines the accessibility of the genome, thus basic biological processes. Recent progress in experiment and modeling has opened new possibilities for multiscale studies of the genome. Our meeting aims to bring together biologists, chemists, physicists and mathematicians to discuss new conceptual approaches beyond simple data collection and phenomenological description.
